1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your purchase of goods from Automotive Outlet, operated by JAH Products Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By placing an order on https://automotiveoutlet.co.uk/, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.

We are registered in England and Wales (company number 12596705) with a registered office at 16 Mersham Drive, Kingsbury, United Kingdom NW9 9PN. You can reach us at jahproductsltd@gmail.com.

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

2. Your statutory rights

As a UK consumer, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Goods must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. If goods are faulty or not as described, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

For online purchases, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you a legal right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, and a further 14 days to return them. We choose to offer a 30-day return period on eligible purchases, which extends and satisfies your statutory cancellation rights for change-of-mind returns.

Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (DMCC Act), traders must provide clear pre-contract information, avoid misleading omissions, and display the total price payable (including taxes and unavoidable charges) before you place an order. We comply with these requirements and with enhanced consumer protection standards enforced by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your statutory rights. If any part of these Terms conflicts with your legal rights, your legal rights take priority.

3. Ordering and payment

  • Placing an order: When you place an order you are offering to buy goods from us. We will confirm acceptance by email. We may decline or cancel orders if an item is unavailable, if pricing or product information was displayed in error, or if we suspect fraud.
  • Prices and fees: All prices are in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable. The total price shown at checkout is the amount you pay, including delivery where stated as free or included. We do not add hidden mandatory fees at the final step of checkout.
  • Pricing errors: If we discover an error in the price or product description, we will inform you and give you the option to reconfirm your order at the correct price or cancel it.
  • Payment methods: We accept payment via PayPal, Stripe, Revolut, and other methods offered at checkout. Your payment information is processed securely by our payment partners; we do not store your full card details. Payment must be received before we dispatch your order.

4. Returns and refunds

In addition to your statutory rights, we offer the following returns policy:

4.1 30-day return policy

You may return items within 30 days of delivery for a refund, provided they are unused, in their original condition and packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase. Please include your order confirmation email or order number in the package so we can locate your order.

We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the item back, using the same payment method where possible. If an item is returned in a different condition than received (for example damaged, used, or missing parts), we may issue a partial refund to reflect the loss in value. It is your responsibility to package items carefully when returning them. We do not offer exchanges - if you need a different item, please place a new order.

4.2 Returns after 30 days

Returns requested more than 30 days after delivery will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We are not obliged to accept change-of-mind returns beyond 30 days. Contact us if you wish to discuss a late return.

4.3 Faulty or misdescribed items

If a product is faulty, not fit for purpose, or not as described, contact us as soon as possible. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to reject a faulty item for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After this period, we may offer a repair or replacement. Sale items that are faulty will be treated the same as full-price items.

4.4 Return instructions and shipping costs

If you are returning an item because you changed your mind, you are responsible for the return shipping cost. Shipping fees are non-refundable. We recommend using a trackable service and keeping proof of postage. We cannot accept liability for items lost or damaged in transit on their way back to us.

4.5 Lost or misdelivered packages

Shipments are sent via Royal Mail or other couriers shown at checkout. Once a package is marked as delivered by the courier, responsibility for the parcel transfers to you. If your order shows as delivered but you have not received it, please contact the courier directly to investigate. We are not responsible for items that go missing after delivery is confirmed.

5. Fraudulent returns and abuse

We take fraud seriously and comply with our obligations under UK consumer and criminal law. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:

  • Returning a different item from the one originally purchased.
  • Deliberately damaging goods before or after receipt and then returning them for a refund.
  • Falsely claiming that items arrived damaged, faulty, or incomplete when they were supplied in good condition.
  • Tampering with, removing, or altering serial numbers, batch markings, security seals, or other identifiers.
  • Using items and then returning them as unused or “as new”.
  • Chargeback or payment disputes made in bad faith after receiving goods in good order.

We record serial numbers, markings, packaging condition, and dispatch photographs where appropriate to verify items sent and returned. Where we have reasonable grounds to believe a return is fraudulent, we will refuse the refund, retain the goods and evidence, and report the matter to Action Fraud and/or the police. We may also notify payment providers and pursue civil recovery of our losses. Fraudulent conduct may constitute offences under the Fraud Act 2006 and related UK legislation.

We reserve the right to refuse future orders, cancel accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement where fraudulent or abusive return activity is identified.

6. International orders and customs

For orders shipped outside the UK, you are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or fees levied by customs in your country. Customs delays are outside our control. Required customs forms will be completed by us, but we cannot guarantee delivery times for international orders.

7. Customer service and dispute resolution

We aim to provide excellent customer service. If you experience an issue with your order, please contact us directly before leaving negative reviews or initiating payment disputes. We will work with you to resolve the matter fairly. By placing an order, you confirm you have read and agree to these Terms.

If we cannot resolve a dispute, you may be entitled to use alternative dispute resolution. Nothing in this section limits your right to bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales where permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our products or these Terms. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods you bought, except where this is not permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
