Installation
- Deflate the tyre and remove it from the rim.
- Remove the old sensor and fit the new screw-in sensor with the sealing nut.
- Refit and inflate the tyre, then balance the wheel.
- Drive at about 15 mph (24 km/h) for 10 to 15 minutes so the car can learn the sensor.
- Remove the tyre, deflate it fully and unbolt the old TPMS sensor from the wheel.
- Install the new sensor on the rim and tighten it to the manufacturer-recommended torque.
- Reinflate the tyre, balance the wheel and mount it back on the vehicle.
- Drive the vehicle for several minutes at 15 mph (24 km/h) or more to allow the sensor to register automatically.
- If your vehicle's ECU does not recognise the sensor, run the TPMS relearn procedure in the vehicle's settings.
- As a last resort, use an OBD-II TPMS programming tool to force-write the new sensor ID to the ECU.
Notes
- 42607-48020, 42607-02070 and 42607-F4020 are in the title and on the gallery overlay.
- 4260702090, PMV-E100 and TX-S162 are in the item specifics. PMV-C215 is printed on the sensor and is also in the reference list.
- The interchange field also writes 4260748020 and 426074-48020. Those are the same 42607-48020 number, so they are not listed again.
- Corolla, RAV4, Highlander, 4Runner, Avalon, Sienna, Lexus ES, RX, NX, UX, GX and LX are kept from the existing description. No extra year was added for those models.
- If the warning lamp stays on, check the tyre pressures and the valve seal, then repeat the relearn or register the sensor with a TPMS tool.
- Compare the part number on your original sensor before ordering.
- If the tyre-pressure warning lamp stays illuminated after installation, check that tyre pressures are set correctly and adjust by deflating or inflating as needed.
- Ensure each sensor is installed at the correct torque and the seals are seated properly to prevent air leaks.
- Verify that the part number and radio frequency (MHz) match your original sensors.
- Clear any stored TPMS faults in the vehicle's ECU before driving.
- If warnings persist, swap the wheel with another position to see if the issue follows the sensor, helping to identify a defective unit.
- Sensors are pre-programmed for your vehicle; they usually self-register after installation. If your vehicle's ECU does not recognise the new sensor, run the relearn procedure and, if necessary, use an OBD tool to program the ID.
- Includes a 1 year warranty covering manufacturing defects and sensor battery failure.
- This package includes 4 pre-programmed TPMS sensors (one for each wheel).
