Installation

1. Open the old key and remove the circuit board, battery and transponder.
2. Fit those parts into the new shell.
3. Have the uncut HU66 blade cut by a locksmith.
4. Close the shell and test the buttons.

Notes

• Compare the 3-button layout and HU66 blade with your original key before ordering.
• HU66 is a key blade code, not a catalogue part number.
• 996 is the 911 chassis named in the title, and 986 is the Boxster chassis. The title years are 2001 to 2005.
• No new programming is needed when the original immobiliser chip is reused.
• You must transfer the circuit board and immobiliser chip from your existing key
